What is Earthquake and Its Physical Significance ?

 Talking in Simple Words ,Earthquake is Nothing But the Shaking of Earth But If We consider Technical Aspects as well as some Physical Significance then we need to study it in depth .

As Earlier talked that Earthquake is Shaking of earth but the real Significance is that from where the shaking is coming ,I mean what is the cause of shaking , So We know that earth is made up of 4 Layers i.e. Inner Core , Outer Core , Mantle and Crust . The Main Reason for the Earthquake is Outer Core and Mantle and Both of them affects the Crust . If Dig the earth's Crust deeper and deeper at depth of some kilometers then we will found some Irregular Rocks their and some of them are Inclined and Some Potential Energy is Stored in that Rocks for Many Many Years ,So Whenever their is Disturbance in Mantle and Outer Core These Rocks get Slipped Off and Finally the Conversion of Potential Energy into Kinetic Energy Takes Place and This Kinetic Energy Travels Up to Crust and Hence Causes Shaking and This is How the phenomenon of Earthquake Takes Place.
