What is Slump Test for Concrete and Types of Slump ?

In every Construction site of this Planet , Casting of Concrete is not Possible without taking out Slump Test for the Concrete . Slump Test of Concrete is Performed to Check out the Workability of Concrete and A Concrete will be More Workable if gets easily placed and compacted as well as Finished and Workability of Concrete is directly dependent on the Slump Test. First of All in the test we will Prepare the Concrete Mix and then we will use a Frustum of Cone Namely Slump Cone of Height 300mm and Top Diameter 200mm as well as bottom diameter 100mm .We will Fill the Concrete in Cone in Steps and at the Last we will release the Slump Cone in Upward direction and Notice the height of Fall as compared to Height of Slump Cone and That's All.

Types of Slump:

3 Types of Slump exists on the earth and which are as Follows :

1. True Slump
The Resulting Concrete Mix is Homogeneous in Nature and safe to be Used at site.

2. Shear Slump
The Resulting Concrete Mix is Full of Bleeding and Segregation .

3. Collapse Slump
The Resulting Concrete Mix is Loser in All Ways , Their is no Proper Between Gravels , Sand , Cement and Water . All the Elements of the Concrete Matrix are Separated from each other and Clearly this Type of Concrete Mix is Not safe to be used at Site.
